Finland announces 12th package of military aid to Ukraine in amount of more than €400 million
Finland Ministry of Defense announced the 12th package of military aid for Ukrainian soldiers, which included heavy weapons and ammunition
Ministry of Defense of Finland stated on its website.
Such a decision was made by the country's president, Sauli Niinistö, on January 19, following the government's proposal. According to estimates, the package is worth more than €400 million.
"Ukraine still needs support in defense struggle. The set of equipment that will be sent now is clearly the largest of those previously delivered. Finland supplies Ukraine with heavy weapons and ammunition," Defense Minister Mikko Savola said.
All details about weapons that are going to Ukraine are not yet disclosed for security reasons. However, it is claimed that the list was compiled taking into account the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the resources of Finland.
