Fighting continues: Ukrainian MP denies reports of Ukrainian forces withdrawing from Sudzha
Fighting continues between Russian and Ukrainian forces near the city of Sudzha in Russia's Kursk region. Reports of Ukraine’s forces withdrawing from the area are false
This was stated by Ukrainian MP Roman Kostenko, as reported by Espreso correspondent Kateryna Halko.
"I spoke with the fighters there this morning. They do not confirm our complete withdrawal from Sudzha. There is information that the Russians have entered a certain part, the fighting continues, and they control some territory. But as of two hours ago, I have no information confirming that our forces have fully left Sudzha," the official stated.
According to him, the situation in the area remains difficult, with the Russian army putting pressure on Ukrainian troops. In response, Ukrainian command is working to stabilize and restore the situation while deploying additional reserves.
"But the enemy continues to push forward. There is also information that in some directions, they have entered Ukrainian territory and are trying to hold onto it," Kostenko added.
- The Russian army has made slight advances on the Kursk front, particularly near Mirny and Zozulevka. Additionally, Russian forces are reinforcing positions in the eastern part of Sudzha.
