This was announced by the UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi on his Twitter.

He compared the current situation with the Second World War, at that time there was such a growth rate of refugees.

"More than 1.5 million refugees from Ukraine crossed into neighboring countries in 10 days - the fastest-growing refugee crisis in Europe since the Second World War", Filippo Grandi said.
