Explosions in Russia are very delicate and careful game of chess
Strikes against the Kremlin can only exist as part of a show and information warfare, but certainly not as a full-fledged military response
We do not have the ability of actually striking at Russian territory in our palette of options. And we will not get it. Because Russia is a nuclear power, and that's it. And an attempt to fire something serious there could have terrible consequences. So everyone who is sane understands this. And only those who are not in Ukraine or those who are a bit out of their minds call for attacking Russia. Yes, no one feels sorry for Russians, but feel sorry for your compatriots.
That is why all these bombings and explosions in Crimea and on the territory of Russia are not military operations, but rather a very delicate and careful game of chess. Cutting the wires on a huge bomb with trembling hands and wiping sweat from your forehead. We have not publicly admitted to any of these actions, and I am sure that our Western allies have restrained us from even more of them, using leverage with money and weapons.
There is no technical problem with firing at Russia – you bring the guns to the border of the Chernihiv region and fire. But no one will do this unless they want to lose the Chernihiv region. And it is beautiful and we need it.
For better or for worse, the political leadership is now made up of showmakers, not desperadoes. Therefore, they are much more interested in operations that look like the end of a Hollywood action movie than a war chronicle.
“Our now legendary, sweet concept of ‘bavovna’ (unexplained explosions in Russia or in occupied territories - ed.) grew and blossomed out of such timid responses to the horrific and devastating attacks on Ukraine. We have learned to enjoy the small things, because even they used to be absolutely fantastic.”
Our now legendary, sweet concept of ‘bavovna’ (unexplained explosions in Russia or in occupied territories - ed.) grew and blossomed out of such timid responses to the horrific and devastating attacks on Ukraine. We have learned to enjoy the small things, because even they used to be absolutely fantastic. Until now, the Kremlin has only burned in exalted memes and homemade barbecues. And now a drone is actually flying around the Kremlin.
Unable to strike at the real Russia, Ukrainians have adapted to strike at the mythological Russia, because it is not protected by the nuclear doctrine. They strike at non-lethal, but very painful points for Russia's pride. To hit the Crimean bridge, the flagship Moskva, to sting the Kremlin like bees with drones.
“The main thing is not to forget that behind the joy and excitement of the show, there is a real war going on and real attacks on us. That the smoke over the Kremlin is a kind of satisfaction for the dead people at the Epicenter hypermarket in Kherson. And while we are fidgeting with impatience waiting for the counteroffensive, it is important to remember that it will be people, not drones, who will be attacking.”

It is clear that each of us is now waging a personal jihad against the Russians and wants revenge even more than the end of the war. We want them to taste our bitter bread and shed some tears. We want them to return not even a hundredfold, but at least half of what we have lived and endured.
But it is much more important to watch out for yourself, not them. Not to hurt them, but to avoid your own losses.
But we can't afford blind revenge now, because we need to look very closely, with both eyes and through a thermal imager. Not through the TV.
