Explosions in Mariupol, Russian ammunition warehouse destroyed – Mariupol City Council
In the evening of February 21, numerous explosions rang out in the temporarily occupied Mariupol. City Council confirms Russian military warehouse has been destroyed.
This was confirmed by the Mariupol City Council on Telegram on February 22.
"It is confirmed that a Russian ammunition warehouse has been destroyed in the airport area (Central district)," the message says.
In the evening of February 21, 11 explosions were reported in the temporarily occupied city.
"So far, 11 explosions have been reported in the occupied city. The first explosion occurred at 10:33 p.m. There is preliminary information about two hits, likely on military concentration areas," the message says.
Residents also report problems with electricity and cellular service in the Central and Left Bank districts of the city. The information is being clarified and checked.
Local telegram channels report explosions in various districts of the Donetsk region, as well as in Makiivka, Snizhne, Shakhtarsk, Torez, Khartsyzk, and Ilovaisk. A Khartsyzk occupying authority representative reported that the anti-aircraft defense was working. There is currently no official information from the AFU General Staff or Ukrainian authorities.
