Explosion in Melitopol: collaborator died in hospital

On the morning of April 27, an explosion occurred in the Russian-held city of Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia region. Collaborator Oleksandr Mischenko was injured and died in hospital.

This was reported by the mayor of Melitopol Ivan Fedorov.

"It's not a quiet morning in Melitopol," the mayor wrote.

It is reported that a single explosion was heard in the central part of the occupied city.

"We are clarifying what the occupiers are exploding this time," Fedorov added.

Russian media reported that the explosion occurred near an apartment building.

An improvised explosive device was detonated, and one person was injured. His name has not been specified.

Later, Fedorov clarified that the explosion occurred at 5:20 am near the entrance to the building at 67 Heroiv Ukrainy Street.

"According to preliminary data, a sick leave was issued to one of the heads of the occupation police who betrayed Ukraine and went over to the enemy's side. The path of every collaborator is predictable: yesterday betrayal, today panic, tomorrow reprisal," the mayor emphasized.

We are talking about Oleksandr Mishchenko. The 42-year-old collaborator died in hospital.

"Before the full-scale invasion, Mishchenko was the head of the Azov police department. After the occupation, not only did he go over to the enemy's side, but he also persuaded his employees to become traitors," said Fedorov.
