Expecting normalization: Turkish Defense Minister discuss grain deal with Shoigu
Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said that he expects Russia to return to the grain deal after a conversation with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.

Akar said this in an interview with Milliyet publishing.
According to him, Turkey insists on returning Russia to the grain deal, the termination of participation in which Moscow announced on October 29.
"Last night we spoke with Shoigu on the phone. He had fears, we accepted them. We also spoke with Ukrainian ministers. We have done the necessary work and informed Shoigu that there is no reason to worry. We are waiting for normalization," Akar said.
He added that the agreement on grain export from Ukraine makes a great contribution to solving the global food crisis, and all problems can be solved through cooperation and dialogue. Akar also called on the parties to the agreement to "sit down again at the negotiating table."
