Evening drone attack: air defense downs 11 Shaheds in 3 hours in southern Ukraine

According to the Operational Command (OC) South, the evening drone attack on critical infrastructure in the southern regions of Ukraine lasted about 3 hours.
The enemy launched 12 'kamikaze' drones. One of them hit a previously damaged energy infrastructure facility in Kryvyi Rih. Rescuers were fighting a large-scale fire. There were no casualties as a result of the hit.
5 drones were shot down over Mykolaiv region, 4 - over the sea, on the approach to Odesa region, 2 - over Kherson region.
Earlier, the OC South reported 6 downed drones in the southern regions: 2 over the sea, on the approach to Odesa region, 3 over Mykolaiv region, and 1 in Kryvyi Rih.
Air defense was also active in the Kyiv region. In particular, this was reported by the regional military administration at 11:39 pm.
"Air defense is working in the Kyiv region! Observe information silence. Under no circumstances should you film or post the operation of air defense systems and the consequences of enemy strikes," the message said.
The air alert in the Kyiv region was announced at 9:45 pm. And at 10:29 p.m., a warning was issued about the threat of a drone attack.
Earlier, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Marchenko, reported 4 downed drones.
"Our air defense units shot down four Shahed ‘kamikaze’ drones in the skies over Odesa region that were trying to hit energy infrastructure facilities. I am grateful to the air defense units who are always on guard of our skies and have once again shown their professionalism!" he wrote.
Earlier, Serhii Lysak, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, reported on the Shahed attack drones flying towards the region.
“Attention! Air alert in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Shaheds are moving in the direction of the region. Please proceed to the shelter!” he wrote.
The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council also wrote about enemy drones over the region.
“The Russian occupiers are not going to calm down. Again, enemy UAVs. They think they are the most cunning. Well, our defenders are ready to meet them,” he noted
Vitalii Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, reported drones in the sky over the Mykolaiv region. At 8:13 pm, he wrote that “balalaikas are flying in the region.”
Ukrainians have nicknamed the deadly drones “flying balalaikas” because of their resemblance to the Russian stringed instrument.
Later, Vitalii Kim reported two downed drones, and then another one. Only after that, at 8:35 pm, an air raid alert was announced in the Mykolaiv region.
