European Political Community summit starts in Prague with 44 countries participating, without Russia - Radio Freedom journalist Khotin

"At the initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron, the summit of the European Political Community started in Prague, in which the leaders of 27 EU member states and EU candidate countries are participating. Another 17 EU countries, which are located on the European continent, have joined the EU. The initiative speaks that Europe is wider than the EU. The countries that joined the EU also have something to say in the common European house - these are the issues of energy sources, climate, economy, and migration," Khotyn said.

According to him, the European political community cannot be an alternative to EU expansion.

"The summit was attended by Norway, Switzerland, Great Britain, Turkey and countries that aspire to join the EU - Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, the countries of the Western Balkans. The head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, emphasized that Russia is isolated and under Putin's presidency, it has no place in the European  projects and discussions," Khotyn added.
