European Commission freezes Russian assets worth €20 billion

"Sanctions are essential to preventing Russia’s ability to wage war," the report said.
Therefore, the European Union has frozen €20 billion of Russian assets in total. In addition, due to sanctions, Russian imports and exports decreased by 20.8 and 12.3%, respectively.
It is known that as of December 22, 1,386 people and 171 organizations are under EU sanctions due to the Russian invasion.
