European Commission convenes meeting of 5 countries dissatisfied with grain exports from Ukraine
The European Commission has invited to a meeting trade ministers of 5 EU countries, which previously called on Brussels to intervene in the situation with Ukrainian grain exports due to the negative impact on their farmers
PAP reported the information, citing its sources.
The video conference meeting of the ministers with the Vice President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis is to be held in the afternoon on Wednesday, April 19.
In late March, at the initiative of Warsaw, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, and Slovakia sent a joint letter to the European Commission demanding a response to the problems with Ukrainian grain exports.
In recent days, Poland, Hungary, and Slovakia have banned imports of Ukrainian agricultural products, and Romania demands the same.
It has also been unofficially reported that the EU plans to allocate EUR 100 million to support farmers in these 5 countries due to exports of agricultural products from Ukraine.
