EU urges Azerbaijan, Armenia to end hostilities
The European Union has called for an immediate end to hostilities between Azerbaijan and Armenia near the Lachin Corridor.
This was announced by the representative of the EU foreign policy service, Peter Stano, on Twitter.
Stano emphasized the importance of achieving de-escalation and full compliance with the ceasefire regime, and also called on the parties to return to the negotiating table to find agreed solutions.
"The European Union calls for immediate cessation of the latest hostilities around Lachin corridor & Line of Contact.Key is to de-escalate, fully respect the ceasefire & return to the negotiating table. EU remains committed to help overcome tensions," he wrote.
Also, the representative of the foreign policy service added that the EU is ready to help overcome tensions and continue its participation in ensuring sustainable peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
