The Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi border detachment in Odesa region has received four new UMS patrol boats, 425CC worth UAH 2.2 million, from the EU.
The State Border Service of Ukraine shared the details on Facebook.
It is noted that the boats were provided as part of the international technical assistance project Together with the EU for Border Security, which is financed by the EU and implemented by IOM Ukraine (International Organization for Migration).
Each boat accommodates a crew of four. The vessel is equipped with life jackets and an echo sounder to determine the depth of water under the vessel.
In addition, last year, as part of the same project, border guards received two boats UMS - 545DC and UMS - 425CC. As reported by the State Border Service of Ukraine, the boats showed high reliability while performing the service of protecting the state border.
