These are the results of a two-stage in-depth monitoring of online media conducted by the Institute of Mass Information in February-March 2023.
The list also includes the following online media: Suspilne, Hromadske, Liga, Ukrainska Pravda, Ukrinform, Dzerkalo Tyzhnia, Babel, NV.
It is noted that at the first stage of the study, 50 popular Ukrainian online media, selected on the basis of previous monitoring data from IMI, SimilarWeb and Gemius, were assessed for manipulation, fakes, hate speech, negative PR, ethical violations, and the presence of paid materials.
At the second stage of the study, the media that passed the first stage were analyzed according to the following criteria: compliance with the standards of balance, reliability and separation of facts from comments, as well as transparency.
According to the results of the analysis, the level of compliance with professional standards on the resources included in the White List is about 95% on average.
On March 30, it became known that the US State Department considers the Ukrainian media to be only "partially free."
