Erdogan is interested in grain agreement even more than Ukraine - political scientist
Yevhen Magda, director of the Institute of World Politics, believes that Russia is rapidly losing its image as a powerful state.
He shared his opinion on the air of the Espreso TV channel.
"We observe rapid demystification of the Russian Federation. And this is already an inevitable process. Erdogan has presidential elections next year. He needs to retain power and show that he is a real player. Erdogan needs to show that he is able to negotiate with Putin so that he keeps his word. The Turkish leader is interested in grain agreement no less than Ukraine, and even more", Magda explained.
According to the political scientist, the UN is also interested in grain agreement.
"Within the framework of grain agreement, Ukraine managed to export about 10 million tons of grain. This is a large number, but compared to the same amount last year, it is four times less. Russia is incapable of being a civilized state", Magda added.
