Erdogan after meeting with Zelenskyy: "I am sure that this war will end with negotiations"

After meeting with Ukraine's President Zelenskyy and the UN Secretary General, Turkish President Recep Erdogan has said that Russia's war in Ukraine should end with negotiations and added that there was consensus on this at the meeting

He said this during a briefing on Espreso TV.

"I want to emphasize the need of the international community to revive the diplomatic process. I am convinced that the war will end with negotiations. Both Mr. Zelensky and Mr. Guterres share my point of view", Erdogan said.

According to him, it is possible to consider such negotiations based on the format of the negotiations on the export of grain in Istanbul.

"We are deeply concerned about the situation that is currently taking place on the territory of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. Of course, we do not want to experience another Chernobyl. Turkey, on the one hand, will do everything possible to end this conflict through diplomatic means, and on the other hand, we will always be close to our Ukrainian friends", he added.
