Later, this information was also confirmed by the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitaliy Kim.
"Mykolaiv is a Hero City. Every day we lose our residents, our soldiers. And today our city lost its Hero. Hero of Ukraine, general director of the Nibulon company Oleksiy Opanasovych Vadatursky and his wife Raisa Mykhailivna Vadaturska died tragically as a result of shelling of the city at night. Oleksiy Opanasovych did a lot for the Mykolaiv region and for Ukraine. His contribution to the development of the agricultural and shipbuilding industries and the development of the region is invaluable. So much has been done - so much could be done... With respect and deepest sympathy. Rest in peace", the governor said.
Anna Zamazeyeva, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Council, wrote that the name of Oleksiy Vadatursky "will forever remain in the history of Ukrainian and world business".

The owner of one of the largest agricultural enterprises in Ukraine, Oleksiy Opanasovych, had a big heart and always came to help with a charitable mission. Remaining a patriot of his country, he was in his city, in his native Mykolaiv, until the end", she wrote.
