Of course, there are no outright threats, but the way the plant is operated, the fact that there are warehouses for equipment and ammunition on the territory of the plant, it is clear that the situation can get out of control at any time and be critical,” the first deputy mayor of Enerhodar said.
The mayor's office advises people to leave the city and its surroundings.
“"For those who cannot do this today. If you have a vehicle, keep it fully fueled with all the necessary suitcases, collected documents, more valuable items and survival gear for the first time. Because if the situation gets out of control, we can expect that they will be obliged and forced to provide 'corridors' for the population to leave the area,” the deputy mayor of Enerhodar said.
On June 6, occupying Russian forces blew up the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant, completely destroying it.
