Over the last day, 102 combat engagements took place in the frontline. Ukrainian forces repelled Russian attacks in 7 directions eliminating 1,060 soldiers

The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to February 28, 2024, amounted to:

General Staff report: Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 33 attacks in Novopavlivka direction, 102 combat engagements took place in the frontline

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the operational situation has not changed.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian Armed Forces rebuffed 13 Russian attacks in the vicinity of Synkivka and Tabaivka in the Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces fought off 11 Russian troops' attacks near Terny and Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian Armed Forces beat back 11 Russian attacks in the vicinity of Ivanivske, Klishchiivka and Andriivka in the Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 25 Russian attacks in the areas of Berdychi, Orlivka, Tonenke, Pervomaiske and Nevelske in the Donetsk region.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding back the invading Russian forces in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka and west of Pobieda in the Donetsk region. The Russian troops tried to break through Ukrainian troops' defenses 29 times. Ukrainian Armed Forces defeated four Russian attacks in the areas south of Vuhledar, Staromayorsk and Urozhaine in the Donetsk region.

In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces rebuffed 8 Russian troops' attacks near Malynivka and Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Kherson direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding their positions and repelling Russian occupation troops' attacks. Despite significant losses, the Russian forces are trying to drive Ukrainian units out of their positions. Over the past day, the Russian troops conducted one unsuccessful attack.

Russian army launches 8 missile strikes and 75 air strikes in Ukraine

Over the last day, 102 combat engagements took place. In total, the Russian forces launched 8 missile strikes, 75 air strikes, fired 141 times from multiple launch rocket systems at Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas. 

Late yesterday, Russian occupants attacked Ukraine using 10 Shahed UAVs. The Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 10 UAVs.

6 settlements in Sumy region; 3 settlements in Kharkiv region; 12 settlements in Donetsk region; 4 settlements in Zaporizhzhia region; 1 settlement in Kherson region were hit by air strikes.

More than 110 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.

Ukrainian defense forces destroyed two Russian Su-34 fighter-bombers and 4 reconnaissance UAVs

Over the past day, Ukrainian defense aviation struck 15 areas where Russian personnel were concentrated. The Ukrainian Air Force also downed 2 Su-34 fighter-bombers and 4 reconnaissance UAVs.

Ukrainian missile troops struck 4 Russian concentration areas of personnel, weapons and military equipment, 2 artillery pieces, 1 air defense piece and 2 radar stations.
