Russia loses over 1,000 troops, 38 artillery systems and 5 tanks per day - General Staff

The total combat losses of the Russian Federation from February 24, 22 to May 6, 24 were approximately:

Situation at the front: Russian forces attacked in the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions the most

The operational situation in the northern Ukrainian border remains without significant changes.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts subversive activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas.

In the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled 14 attacks in the vicinity of Synkivka, Pishchane, Berestove in Kharkiv region; Stelmakhivka in Luhansk region.

In the Lyman direction, the Russian troops attacked Ukrainian positions 6 times near Nevske, Luhansk region; Novosadove and Torske, Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian defenders repulsed 36 attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region; Verkhnyokamianske, Spirne, Klishchiivka, Vyimka, Novyi, Rozdolivka, Ivanivske and Andriivka, Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian troops rebuffed 31 attacks in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Novopokrovske, Umanske, Yasnobrodivka and Netailove in Donetsk region.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back the Russian troops in the vicinity of Kostiantynivka, Krasnohorivka, Vodiane and Urozhaine in Donetsk region. The Russian militants tried to break through the Ukrainian troops' defenses 27 times.

In the Orikhiv direction, the Russian military attacked Ukrainian positions 6 times near Staromayorske in Donetsk region and Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Kherson direction, the Russian troops are determined to drive Ukrainian units from their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Over the past day, the Russian forces made 3 unsuccessful attacks.

Russian troops' facilities destruction

Over the past day, Ukrainian aviation struck 13 areas of concentration of personnel and 4 Russian anti-aircraft missile systems.

Ukrainian missile units struck at 1 area of concentration of personnel, 3 radar stations, 2 air defense facilities, 2 artillery facilities and 3 other important targets.

In total, the Russian aggressor launched 2 missile strikes, 120 air strikes, fired 89 multiple rocket launcher systems at Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian population. Several high-rise buildings and other civilian infrastructure facilities were destroyed and damaged.

At night, the Russian invaders attacked Ukraine once again, using 13 Shahed UAVs. The Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 12 of these attack UAVs.

1 settlement in Chernihiv region; 4 settlements in Kharkiv region and the city of Kharkiv; 21 settlements in Donetsk region; 1 settlement in Zaporizhzhia region; 1 settlement in Kherson region were hit by air strikes.
