Economic turmoil dragging on: sanctions hit Russia - Ukrainian diplomat

Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Volodymyr Ohryzko has said that the economic turmoil is dragging on and sanctions against Russia will hit the terrorist state so hard that it disintegrates

The diplomat expressed his opinion in the program 'Verdict with Sergiy Rudenko' on Espreso.

"The current crisis in the Russian economy is gradually intensifying. The real reserves of accumulated imports in the Russian Federation are running out. There are no new revenues. The goals of the economy, automotive in particular, are stopping.  Serious directions of the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation stop.  The combination of economic and military factors by the end of the year will give Putin's entourage reason to think that it is better to hand over the leader. After all, such a path will eventually mean the disintegration of Russia," Ogryzko said.

The diplomat added that sanctions against the aggressor country are working as the economic situation in Russia is deteriorating.

"If not, 6 packages of sanctions against Russia have been approved. Britain and other countries are imposing additional individual sanctions. What was immediately perceived by Russia as a half-step by the West is gradually taking effect. Russia's gold and foreign exchange reserves are declining. The ruble is artificially restrained. The Russian authorities are hiding this information from the public," said Volodymyr Ohryzko.
