Dynamics of fighting in Bakhmut direction changes fast - Colonel Kostenko
Colonel of Ukraine's Security Service Roman Kostenko says that the intensity of fighting in the Bakhmut direction is changing rapidly
He said this on Espreso TV.
“In the Bakhmut direction, the intensity of hostilities varies greatly every day. It all depends on the situation and weather. However, ammunition remains the main factor. Depending on whether we or the occupying forces have received ammunition, the intensity of fighting increases or decreases. However, the situation in the Bakhmut direction remains difficult for our army,” Kostenko explained.
The SBU colonel emphasized that the operational situation in the Donetsk region is under constant control of the military command of Ukraine's Armed Forces.
“In Avdiivka, the enemy is trying to surround our troops. They are trying to do the same in Bakhmut. The situation is complicated and requires constant attention of our military command. In this situation, we need to understand the line when we need to withdraw our troops to avoid encirclement or continue to hold our positions,” he added.
