Reuters reports.
The publication writes that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, Wopke Hoekstra, said that International Criminal Court in The Hague will not be able to take over this case, so it is necessary to create a separate structure. He added that the Netherlands, together with EU countries, will seek international support and funding for this.
However, ICC prosecutor Karim Khan last week warned of the possibility of fragmentation and said his court was actually best suited to trials involving crimes of aggression because member states could close "gaps that are said to exist".
