During Prigozhin's mutiny, Wagner "preventively" destroy seven Russian aircraft — Air Force
During the recent days' unrest in Russia, Progozhin-led Wagner mercenaries destroyed seven Russian aircraft
This was stated by the spokesman of the AFU Air Force Yuriy Ihnat on the air of the telethon.
According to the Air Force spokesperson, seven aircraft were destroyed: one plane, two fighter planes, and four helicopters used for transportation.
Ihnat mentioned that the Wagner mercenaries understood the Russian army's capability to swiftly and effectively destroy their military units, similar to how Ukrainian pilots destroyed Russian units during a full-scale invasion.
"This is likely what the PMC fighters were afraid of, which is why they took preemptive action to destroy any threats in the sky. Nowadays, aviation, especially in Russia, can rapidly eliminate an entire military unit on the move," Ihnat added.

On June 23, there were reports of a missile attack on the Wagner PMC base by Russian troops. The leader of the Wagner mercenaries, Yevgeny Prigozhin, stated that 25,000 mercenaries were ready to confront Sergei Shoigu.

When the Russian leadership failed to comply with Yevgeny Prigozhin's demand to surrender Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov, the Wagner mercenaries started moving towards Moscow. However, on the evening of June 24, Prigozhin announced that they had halted their advance and returned to their original positions before reaching a distance of 200 km from Moscow.
