Drone Army: 3,864 UAVs purchased for Ukrainian troops
For almost a year of the Drone Army project's existence, United24 has managed to buy 3,864 UAVs with the help of the United24 Foundation
Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology Development and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov said this, Ukrinform reports.
"The Drone Army is an important project aimed at providing the Security and Defense Forces with modern, high-quality drones in sufficient quantity. Over the course of 11 months, we have purchased 3,864 UAVs for more than UAH 4.3 billion with United24 funds," Fedorov said.
The minister noted that the first phase of the Drone Army project has now been completed, as a result of which UAV Operator Training Centers have trained 10,000 military personnel in 10 months. Another 10 thousand UAV operators are planned to be trained in the second phase.
The Drone Army project was launched on July 1, 2022 by the AFU General Staff and the Ministry of Digital Transformation to purchase drones for the Ukrainian Armed Forces and train specialists to work with this equipment.
