Dozen Russian soldiers are killed. Military rangers defeat Russian positions near Bakhmut
Servicemen of the 71st Separate Ranger Brigade of the Airborne Troops of the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed the positions of the Russian forces near Bakhmut, Donetsk region.
This was reported on the Facebook page of the brigade, Espreso informed.
"Assault groups of the 71st Ranger Brigade together with infantrymen Russian forces positioned near Bakhmut. At first, the Russian fortifications were covered with artillery and mortar fire several times. Then the paratroopers cautiously entered the Russian positions. They extinguished the final resistance of the Russians. About a dozen Russian soldiers were killed. Those are only those whose bodies were left in the trenches by their own "brothers," - the statement reads.
Ukrainian soldiers now claim the lines from which the Russians fired at the city's defense will become a big problem for them. The Ukrainian soldiers have wedged themselves in the Russian defense line's middle and have firmly entrenched there.
"All this was seen by the ubiquitous drones of the 71st Airborne Ranger Brigade. Thanks to them, the attack was super successful, and we got a full picture of the battle," the brigade added.
For reference. The 71st Separate Ranger Brigade was created immediately after the beginning of the large-scale intervention of Russian occupants on our land. Since then, the brigade's combat units have been hunting the Russian forces in the hottest frontline areas.
