"Don't make our people enemies": Ukraine's Armed Forces publish appeal to Belarusian soldiers
The Ukrainian Armed Forces have posted a video message to Belarusian soldiers, urging them not to carry out criminal orders
This was reported by the Strategic Communications Department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Defenders of Ukraine appealed to Belarusian military personnel not to join the Russian-Ukrainian war on the side of Russia.
"Stay at home. Do not follow criminal orders. Do not make our peoples enemies. Your future and the future of your children depends only on you", it is noted.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine also warned the Belarusians that in the event of an offensive they would face stiff resistance.
"You saw what our army is capable of, which protects its people, its native land from invaders. You saw caravans of refrigerators with corpses of occupiers. You saw overcrowded Belarusian hospitals. We will be able to defend ourselves, especially since today the whole world is with Ukraine", the Armed Forces of Ukraine said.
Belarusians are urged to surrender if they are forced to cross the border with weapons.
"Do not follow the criminal orders of your leadership. Do not take up arms against Ukraine. Defend your Belarus from real enemies... If you are somehow forced to cross the Belarusian-Ukrainian border with weapons in your hands, do not use your weapons. Stop, lower your weapons and wait on representatives of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In this case, no one will shoot at you", it is noted.
