Disguised FSB officers stand behind Putin at his New Year's speech - colonel Kostenko
Ukrainian lawmaker, secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, colonel of Ukraine's Security Service Roman Kostenko believes that Putin's New Year's speech is a Soviet style clowning
He expressed this opinion on the air of the Verdict with Serhii Rudenko program on Espreso TV.
“Primitive leader Putin speaks to his primitive audience. There is a part of people in Russia that understands everything, but is afraid. The main mass of Russians - 70-80% - support Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Putin's New Year's speech is a clowning of the 1950s and 1960s, the times of the Soviet Union. Putin is a man who has never been to the front. Who started the bloodiest war in modern history. This war killed a hundred thousand of his fellow citizens for unknown reasons. This person talks about some victories, which in fact do not exist. Putin is talking about new territories that they could not take even due to their massiveness and ruthlessness,” Kostenko emphasized.
The colonel of Ukraine's Security Service added that the occupying Russian forces captured Ukrainians and are holding them captive.
“Putin is trying to explain all this to his citizens. To explain that they are returning Russian sovereignty. Who needs that Russia? It will soon be gone. These will be countries with their own sovereignty. All that Putin is telling now is agony. He is trying to explain his losses. All experts have already admitted that Putin is standing not next to the soldiers who took part in the war in Ukraine, but FSB officers in disguise. Because Putin is afraid of real soldiers who came from the war and would stand behind him. He always deceives the Russian people,” Kostenko added.
