Details of Russian Major General Kutuzov's demise
Ukrainian Armed Forces officer and public figure Myroslav Gai has talked about how Ukrainian defenders neutralized Russian Major General Roman Kutuzov on June 5.
He wrote about this on Facebook.
"Roman Kutuzov, the 1st DPR Army Corps Commander in the Donetsk region, spared no personnel, deliberately sent people to the slaughter with an understanding of what the losses would be. Due to his attitude to servicemen as cannon fodder, the morale of the personnel of his units was extremely low, battalion and company commanders were reluctant to attack their men and constantly sabotaged the command's offensive plans," the Ukrainian officer said.
On June 5, Kutuzov's command 'apogee' took place, as his "deadlines were burning for the occupation of one of the settlements in the Donetsk region, and it was necessary to complete the task during the day at any cost."
"In this regard, he ordered the commanders of the 1st and 100th separate motorized infantry brigades to personally lead the troops to storm the Ukrainian forces' positions, but they refused to comply because they understood the risk to their lives. Major General Kutuzov, aware of the consequences for him in case of failure to fulfill the task set by the High Command, decided to personally lead the offensive and was neutralized by Ukrainian forces' artillery fire," Gai explained.
