Vadym Skibitsky shared the information in a comment for CNN.
He informed that Russians have dispersed military supplies throughout the Russian Federation, in particular, "everything is moved to the southern regions through the Crimean peninsula" from the logistics hubs of the Rostov region.
"If you ask what’s critical for the Russian Federation, the centers of gravity are these very hubs, and they need to be struck in order to disrupt the supply systems of all kinds," Skibitsky said.
According to him, Russian logistics systems are located at a distance of 80 to 120 kilometers from the front line, so Ukraine needs strike systems with a longer range to hit them.
"In order to prepare a counteroffensive or offensive operation you need to destroy many installations, not only on the front line, but also deep behind, 100-150 kilometers behind the enemy lines," the deputy chief of the Defense Intelligence noted and added "Especially now, to form strong strike groupings we require tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, heavy weapons that would enable quick counteroffensive operations against the enemy."
On January 16, the Main Intelligence Directorate reported that Russian leader Vladimir Putin had set a task for the new commander of the grouping of troops in Ukraine, Valery Gerasimov, to capture Donbas by March 2023.
Deputy chief of the Defense Intelligence Vadym Skibitsky said that it is too early to talk about a complete turnaround in the war in favor of Ukraine, but the situation will change, and 2023 will be the year of Ukrainian victory.
