Defence forces destroy Russian Ka-52 Alligator: it becomes the 300th helicopter lost in Ukraine by Russia

In the Luhansk region, Russians desert from assault units more often

The General Staff said that against the backdrop of successful combat operations of the Ukraine’s Armed Forces and due to significant enemy losses in manpower, cases of desertion of enemy troops from Storm-Z assault units have increased in the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk region.

Desertion of about 25 Russian occupants in Mariupol and Novoazovsk was also noted due to the unofficial termination of vacations promised to enemy soldiers by the Russian military leadership.

In addition, the occupiers continue to use civilian infrastructure to provide medical care to their wounded soldiers. For example, in the village of Mistky, Luhansk region, the invaders set up a field hospital on the territory of a local school, where more than 100 enemy soldiers are being treated.

During the day, the enemy carried out 17 air strikes on the territory of Ukraine and fired 22 times from multiple launch rocket systems

Also, the enemy launched 2 missile strikes with sea-based Kalibrs at residential buildings in Kharkiv region.

In addition, Russians dropped 3 guided aerial bombs on the town of Orikhiv in Zaporizhzhia region, killing one civilian and destroying private houses. 

The enemy is focusing its main efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions. There were 23 combat engagements over the last day.

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. 

At the same time, the Russian Federation continued shelling the entire line of contact: 2 settlements in Chernihiv region; 4 in Sumy region; and 8 in Kharkiv region. 

Shelling of Ukrainian regions:

Kupiansk direction: the enemy conducted air strikes in 2 areas of Kharkiv region and 1 in Luhansk region. 5 in the Kharkiv region and 1 in Luhansk region came under artillery and mortar fire.

Lyman direction: the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the area of Vesele over the course of the day. He carried out air strikes on the 3 settlements of Donetsk region. 2 settlements in the Luhansk region and 6 in the Donetsk region came under artillery fire.

Bakhmut direction: the enemy launched an air strike in the area of Bila Hora, Donetsk region. 9 settlements of Donetsk region suffered from enemy artillery shelling.

Avdiivka direction: the enemy conducted offensive actions in the direction of Avdiivka, but was unsuccessful. Russian troops carried out air strikes in the areas of Avdiivka and Sieverne, Donetsk region. He fired artillery at the areas of 10 settlements in the Donetsk region.

Marinka direction: our defenders repelled all 14 enemy attacks in the vicinity of the town of Marinka. The enemy launched air strikes near Staromykhailivka and Krasnohorivka. At the same time, he fired artillery at 6 settlements in the Donetsk region.

Shakhtarsk directions: the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the direction of Blahodatne. It carried out air strikes near the 5 settlements of Donetsk region. It shelled 5 settlements of Donetsk region.

Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions: Russian forces hold the defense. They launched an air strike near Orikhiv, Zaporizhzhia region. 3 stlements of Donetsk region, 10 settlements of Zaporizhzhia region, 8 settlements of Kherson region and the city of Kherson were shelled with artillery.

• On Monday, June 12, an enemy diesel locomotive used by Russians to transport fuel to the frontline was blown up in the temporarily occupied Melitopol at night.
