Decisions of politicians should coincide with the moods of their people - Zelensky on consideration of Ukraine's application for EU membership

The head of state reacted to the "green light" for membership for Ukraine from the European Union in his video message.

"How do we evaluate the decision? It's very simple. We need to be stronger. This is not what we expect. It is necessary that the decisions of politicians coincide with the mood of the European people. We know this mood, and they know it. There is support. At least 60% stand "for". And this overwhelming majority is for Ukraine to be part of Europe. And the Europeans are talking about this. I hope that they will tell their politicians if they have not understood this yet", Zelensky said.

He also added that now the European Commission must implement specific procedures.
