The death toll from the missile attack on Odesa on July 23 has risen to two. The body of a woman was found in the ruins.
"The body of a woman was found in a non-residential annex near a destroyed private house on Parkova Street," the authorities write and add that the deceased is being identified.
In total, 19 people were injured.
The Transfiguration Cathedral, the Teacher's House, residential buildings and many other buildings were destroyed.
On July 18 at night, 6 Kalibr-type cruise missiles were launched at Odesa from the Black Sea. All missiles were destroyed by air defense forces. The fragments of the downed missiles and the blast wave damaged port infrastructure and several private homes. An elderly man was wounded in his own home and hospitalized. 21 Shahed-136s were destroyed on approach from the sea in Odesa region.
On the night of July 19, Russian terrorists attacked Ukraine with missiles and "shaheds": an infrastructure facility was damaged in Zhytomyr region, high-rise buildings and an industrial port in Odesa region, a house of culture burned in Kherson, and recreational facilities in Mykolaiv region.
On the night of July 20, Russia attacked a number of regions of southern and eastern Ukraine: an administrative building was destroyed in Odesa, 4 people were injured; a fire broke out in a residential building in Mykolaiv, killing and injuring at least 19 people.

During an air raid on the night of July 23, the Russian army attacked Odesa with at least 5 types of missiles. As of the morning, one person was killed and 22 others were injured in the attack. This was the fifth consecutive nighttime massive missile attack on Odesa and Odesa region in the last six days.
Later, the Operational Command South stated that the enemy attacked Odesa region with at least 5 types of missiles of all types of basing: "Kalibr, Oniks," Kh-22, and Iskander-K, and also used ballistic Iskander-M missiles. Instead, air defense units destroyed 9 out of 19 enemy air targets - 4 Kalibr sea-launched cruise missiles and 5 Iskander-K land-based cruise missiles.
As it was established, the Russians destroyed the port infrastructure, at least 6 residential buildings, including apartment buildings. Dozens of cars were vandalized, facades and roofs were damaged, and windows were smashed in many buildings in the city. Two architectural monuments were damaged.
During the attack, the Russians also destroyed the Transfiguration Cathedral, the largest Orthodox church in Odesa, and the House of Scientists. In addition to significant damage to the building, Orthodox shrines were damaged: the Kasperovska Icon of the Mother of God, the patron saint of Odesa, was pulled out of the rubble.
On the night of July 24, the Russian army launched another attack on the port infrastructure of Odesa region using kamikaze drones.
Ihor Plekhov, the head of the Reni community, said that during the night attack by Shahed drones, Russian troops struck their port. It was reported that three grain warehouses were destroyed. About 15 Shaheds were spotted. Residents of Reni and neighboring villages heard a series of explosions.
The blast wave also damaged the windows of buildings and houses in the port of Reni. Rescuers quickly extinguished the fires. A Romanian ship was damaged during the shelling.
