Danilov outlines Putin's aims for new offensive

The enemy will try to break through the front and surround the Ukrainian defenders, and will keep trying to take the Ukrainian capital

This is the opinion of Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, as he wrote in his column for Ukrayinska Pravda on January 22, 2023.

"The maximum task is to make a breakthrough in the operational areas: the south, ending the occupation of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and interrupting the arms supply chain. And, of course, Kyiv remains the main dream of Putin's fantasies," the NSDC Secretary said.

At the same time, Danilov emphasizes that Russia is preparing for an offensive in 2023.

"The first sign of which, according to the sustainable tactics, is the implementation of active information measures," Oleksiy Danilov said.

In particular, according to him, we are talking about fakes from "anonymous TG channels" about "countless super-trained and heavily armed mobilized soldiers, ultra-modern Russian military equipment, the latest generation of missiles that will sweep away decision-making centers," and so on.

In this way, the NSDC Secretary adds, "the enemy wants to break the will, sow disbelief in the Armed Forces and our forces."
