Czech Republic to provide Ukraine with new weapons with support of Denmark, Netherlands
The Czech Republic has signed an agreement with Denmark and the Netherlands to supply weapons to Ukraine with their financial support. It will include tanks, howitzers, air defense, small arms
This was announced by Czech Deputy Defense Minister Daniel Blazkovec, the press service of the Czech Ministry of Defense reports.
According to him, this cooperation will be a great opportunity for Czech companies.
"In particular, it will include the supply of additional tanks, howitzers, small arms, infantry fighting vehicles, air defense equipment and electronic warfare equipment or ammunition from companies in our defense industry," explained Daniel Blazkovec.
It is planned that Kyiv will receive both modern Czech weapons and upgraded equipment already in service with the local armed forces. The equipment will be in good working order and will be delivered in the coming months and in 2024.
The letter of intent was signed between the two countries to establish long-term cooperation and support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The first sub-project is the transfer of 15 modernized T-72EA main battle tanks, which will be delivered to Ukraine in the near future.
