Czech Republic to help Ukraine assess environmental damage caused by the war
After the war ends, the Czech Republic may send qualified experts to Ukraine to help it overcome environmental damage
This was announced by the Minister of Ecology of the Czech Republic, Anna Hubackova.
"Our idea is that we can help map the environmental damage and send representatives of several of our professional organizations, such as the Water Research Institute, the Czech Geological Survey, the Czech Environmental Information Agency directly to Ukraine, but, of course, after the end of the war. However, we can also help during the war to process materials that, for example, Ukrainians or their institutions provide us," Hubackova said.
She also emphasized that on the eve of the meeting of EU environment ministers in Prague, on July 13, a memorandum on cooperation between the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of the Environment of Ukraine will be signed.
