Czech Republic pledges over €40 million per year for Ukraine’s reconstruction until 2030
The Czech government has decided to allocate one billion Czech korunas (over €40 million) annually under Ukraine’s reconstruction program for 2026–2030
Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský reported this, Novinky writes.
The program has been in effect since 2023, and the Czech Republic intends to continue using it for Ukraine’s reconstruction.
According to Lipavský, thanks to this program, the Czech Republic also receives support from the European Union. In March, the EU approved two projects for the Czech Republic worth four billion Czech korunas (about €160 million).
The financing, which will be carried out through the National Development Bank, will be directed toward humanitarian and reconstruction projects. The foreign minister called this program “a flagship project that strengthens the Czech Republic’s international reputation.”
The outlet noted that since 2023, 500 million Czech korunas (approximately €20 million) have been allocated annually to the program.
- Earlier, Czech President Petr Pavel said that if peacekeeping forces were deployed in Ukraine, the Czech Republic could and should be part of them, as it supports a country suffering from Russian aggression.
