It is reported by the Center of National Resistance.
In the Kherson region under temporary Russian occupation, efforts to compel Ukrainian citizens to acquire Russian passports continue. The local population's movements within villages are restricted, and individuals who have not accepted Russian citizenship are being sought.
The Center reports that Russians are employing various forms of pressure and repression to coerce the population into obtaining Russian passports.
“However, they are encountering resistance, as local residents are refusing to identify themselves as "Russians." The invaders face particular challenges in villages where residents are less reliant on enemy financial support,” according to the report.
- Additionally, in the occupied territories of the Zaporizhia region, Russian-affiliated groups are organizing sham elections to gather information for military conscription purposes.
- In the occupied regions of Ukraine, Russia is compelling local residents to participate in illegal pseudo-elections and, in some areas, prohibiting them from leaving.
