The Ukrainian special services allegedly attacked the Rapid Reaction Force group in Sudan, which supports Wagner PMC. The Ukrainian intelligence service said it could neither confirm nor deny this information from CNN

The representative of the Ukrainian Defense Intelligence, Andriy Yusov, said this in a comment to RBC-Ukraine.

"We can neither confirm nor deny it," he said.

At the same time, Yusov noted that the Intelligence Service can only state the fact that Russia's influence is weakening around the world. According to the intelligence representative, Russia is losing everything it has conquered and accumulated for generations since the Soviet Union.

"This is particularly true in Africa. We can also recall the words of General Budanov that Ukraine will destroy Russian war criminals in any part of the world, wherever they are," Yusov emphasized.

What CNN wrote about

CNN, one of the world's leading broadcasters, cited its own sources as saying that Ukrainian intelligence services had allegedly attacked a paramilitary group in Sudan that is supported by Wagner mercenaries.

According to a Ukrainian interlocutor in military circles, the drone strikes on the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militants were "the work of a non-Sudanese military."

When asked whether Ukraine was involved in the attack, he said that "Ukrainian special services were likely responsible."

This is a series of strikes against the RSF. CNN writes that this group receives assistance from the Wagner PMC in the fight against the Sudanese army for power.

The channel was unable to confirm Ukraine's involvement in the strikes, but described the video as "distinctive features of Ukrainian-style drone attacks."

The channel was unable to confirm Ukraine's involvement in the strikes, but revealed in the video "the hallmarks of Ukrainian-style drone attacks."

"Two commercially available drones widely used by Ukrainians were involved in at least eight of the strikes, with Ukrainian text seen on the drone controller," the article says.

In a video showing the monitor of the drone controller, text in English and Ukrainian is visible, including “Зупинити,” or “Stop.”

Experts also said the tactics used – namely the pattern of drones swooping directly into their target – were highly unusual in Sudan. At the same time, a high-level Sudanese military source said he had “no knowledge of a Ukrainian operation in Sudan” and did not believe it was true.
