He said this on the air of the Espreso TV channel.
"China will not transfer lethal weapons to Russia because China sees the world differently. China takes a position of conditional neutrality. Although we perceive this neutrality as pro-Russian, it is not. There will be no arms supplies to Russia from China," Zgurets emphasised.
The expert also added that Russia's defeat is unfavourable for China.
"There were predictions that Russia was supposed to start the war a little later. When Russia is defeated, China will be left without allies in the further confrontation with the United States in the format of the future war that experts predict. China will not rush and will take a wait-and-see attitude," Zgurets said.
- U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken warned Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi that if the country supports Russia's armed aggression, it will have "serious consequences for interstate relations."
