China, Russia to hold joint naval drills and patrols
The navies of China and Russia plan to organise joint exercises and patrols on a regular basis

This was reported by the Chinese Ministry of Defence.
It is noted that Chinese Defence Minister Li Shangfu met with Russian navy commander Admiral Nikolai Yevmenov in Beijing. They discussed strengthening communication at all levels and expanding practical cooperation in professional fields.
"We hope that the two sides will strengthen communication at all levels, organise joint exercises, patrols and competitions on a regular basis, expand practical cooperation in professional fields, and make a positive contribution to regional and global peace and stability," Li Shangfu said.
