China leader to visit Saudi Arabia and meet with 14 Arab leaders

Chinese President Xi Jinping will pay an official visit to Saudi Arabia, where he will hold a summit with the leaders of 14 Arab states

Xi will pay a visit at the invitation of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia starting from December 7 to 9.

During the visit, a Saudi-Chinese summit will be held chaired by the heads of the two states. According to CNN, at least 14 Arab leaders will participate in the event.

An Arab diplomatic source told CNN that Xi's trip to Saudi Arabia is a "milestone" for Arab-Chinese relations.

Rumors of the Chinese president’s visit have been circulating for several months, but the governments of Saudi Arabia and China have yet to officially confirm information on Xi's tour.
