China is separating Central Asia from Russia by building new trade route
The nearly 500-kilometer highway will shorten the journey to Europe by 7 to 8 days and bypass Russia, "toxic" due to sanctions

According to preliminary estimates, the volume of transportation via the new highway could reach 5 million tons per year.
Following talks with the leaders of Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, Chinese President Xi promised them CNY 26 billion (USD 3.6 billion) in financial support and "free aid" and offered to expand cooperation in the military sphere.
