China Defense Minister comes to Belarus

On Wednesday, August 16, a member of the Central Military Council, Minister of Defense of the People's Republic of China Li Shangfu officially arrived in Minsk

The Ministry of Defense of Belarus announced this, the Belarusian publication BelTA reports.

The agency noted that the Chinese defense minister's visit will last from August 16 to 18.

Li Shangfu has scheduled meetings with the leadership of the Belarusian Ministry of Defense. They plan to discuss topical issues of bilateral military cooperation in areas of common interest.

It is also expected that Li Shangfu will visit a number of military facilities of the Armed Forces of Belarus.

The day before, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of China reported on the planned working visit of Minister Li Shangfu to Belarus on August 14-19. He was planning to visit military units.
