Chechnya and Iran plan to create joint airline

The head of the Chechen government, Muslim Khuchiev, has spoken about the republic's plans to create a joint airline with Iran.

Khuchiev wrote about this on his Telegram channel.

He added that he had discussed this idea with the CEO of Iranian airline Mahan Air, Hamid Arabnejad.

"Chechnya's cooperation with Iran, in addition to the establishment of regular flights, also envisages the creation of a joint airline to reduce the cost of air travel and an aviation industry cluster for the aviation industry of Russia and Iran," Khuchiev wrote.
