Center for Countering Disinformation publishes new selection of Russian fakes

According to the CCD at the NSDC of Ukraine,  on February 21, the Russians launched three major deceptions.

Fake: Putin stated that "Russia is not at war with the people of Ukraine, Ukrainian people have become hostages of the Kyiv regime."

Disinformation: Kherson collaborationist V. Saldo stated that "the Ukrainian military is forcing evacuation [of the Kherson civilian population - ed.]. They are primarily targeting medics, trying to send them to the West of Ukraine. ... They are trying to mobilize men who do not want to fight."

Disinformation: The Russian Foreign Ministry reported: "The US policy is aimed at undermining the national security of the Russian Federation which contradicts the START principles. ... US attempts to "probe" a number of Russian facilities subject to the START by facilitating Kyiv attacks are unacceptable and risky".
