Center for Countering Disinformation publishes a new selection of Russian fakes

According to the CCD at the NSDC of Ukraine, on February 28, the Russians pushed three major manipulations.

Manipulation: Putin’s Press Secretary D. Peskov stated that "The possibility of settling the situation with Ukraine by negotiating is being considered, but our priority is to achieve the special operation goals declared by Russia."

Manipulation: Russian mass media reported that the supply of Western tanks will not help Ukraine. They referenced French general Dari who said that "Tanks provide a significant advantage only when they appear quickly, suddenly and in large numbers."

Manipulation: Russian Ambassador in the US A. Antonov stated: "Abolition of culture" wasn’t happening even during the Cold War.  ... Russian culture does not only belong to Russia. This is the world’s treasure. We know Americans as appreciative connoisseurs of true art.  ... It is obvious that the local public missed the performances of Russian artists and art exhibitions. Maybe it's time to stop the Russophobic madness?".
