Captain reveals Ukrainian army's main task on Dnipro's left bank in Kherson region
The Ukrainian Armed Forces should continue to reduce the Russian troops’ combat capability on Dnipro's left bank in the Kherson region
Captain Valerii Prozapas said this on Espreso TV.
"The Russians have built a fairly competent defense. They put minefields in front of the fortifications. The Russian troops have a completely different situation with aerial reconnaissance. Last year, in the same area, we practiced on the positions of the occupiers using aerial reconnaissance and long-range artillery. So they were forced to retreat to the left bank and draw conclusions. Now they are using electronic warfare, aerial reconnaissance, Eagles, Zala, Supercam, Lancets and an unlimited number of personnel, including a separate formed division. Therefore, I believe that our main task now is to continue to reduce their combat capability," Prozapas said.
According to him, the invading forces are unlikely to be capable of any strategic breakthrough offensive actions, but Ukrainians should be prepared for the worst.
"As the Supreme Commander-in-Chief said, Ukraine needs to strengthen its fortifications so that the Russian troops do not even think about offensive operations," he added.
- On November 29, Ukrainian forces continued their ground attacks on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region and advanced near Krynky.
