Canada has announced additional military assistance to Ukraine, including tens of thousands of assault rifles, machine guns and millions of rounds of ammunition

Canadian Defense Minister Anita Anand reported the information.
Anand made the announcement during a visit to Canada by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. She said the visit was about additional military assistance to Ukraine from Colt Canada.
"We’re donating 21,000 assault rifles, 38 machine guns, and over 2.4 million rounds of ammunition. These arms will support Ukraine’s fight to defend itself, and to protect our shared values," Anand said on Twitter.

On Tuesday, April 11, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal arrived in Canada for a visit.
