British intelligence identifies two acute problems of the Russian army in Ukraine

According to British intelligence, there is an acute shortage of manpower in Russia for the war in Ukraine

This was announced by the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain reports on Twitter.

According to intelligence, Wagner has been recruiting Russian prisoners for the war in Ukraine since at least July. Wagner promises them a reduced sentence.

Recently, the recruitment process has accelerated. In the published video, the owner of Wagner PMC, Yevgeniy Prigozhin, emphasizes that he needs people for the airborne assault units.

At the same time, Russian military academies reduce the training period of cadets and speed up their graduation. Presumably, Russia also plans to involve them in the war in Ukraine.

These two facts indicate that the most critical deficiencies in the Russian army's manning crisis are likely to be combat infantry and junior commanders, British intelligence points out.
